LOS ANGELES The International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC) Pioneer Award for 2001 was bestowed upon Loews Hotels President/CEO Jonathan Tisch at the UCLA Hotel Industry Investment Conference here this morning.
With ISHC Chairman Ron Lustig doing the honors, Tisch was called to the stage to receive his due for his long-time commitment to country, community and industry. In the course of accepting the award, the Loews Hotels chieftain emphasized that the message must be made clear that the [lodging]industry makes significant economic and social contributions nationally as well as internationally.
