NEW YORK- During a panel at IH/M&RS today, Dr. Marc Clark of M Douglas Clark Associates said to recruit quality employees, consider writing a small message on the back of your business cards saying, “I have observed you offering exceptional service and think you would be a good fit with my company. Please give me a call so we can meet to discuss opportunities.”
To retain quality employees, Clark suggests that each manager purchase a box of thank you cards and write one out to an employee thanking him for a job well done. The key here, according to Clark, is to mail the card to the employees home rather than handing it to him or her on the job.
