MAHWAH, NJ— The Travel Inventory Marketing Alliance, LLC (TIMA) has signed an agreement with Nevada Destinations/NRB, a wholesaler of rooms in Las Vegas. Nevada Destinations blocks inventory of 9,000 rooms a week in Las Vegas, according to TIMA. TIMAs new partner will supply merchant-model inventory primarily in Las Vegas but will include inventory from other cities such as Lake Tahoe, Reno, San Francisco and Los Angeles, noted Pete Bertenshaw, co-founder and managing director of the Alliance. Hotel sales and distribution specialists First Internet Travel (dba 1-800-USA Hotels) and Tourist Bureau Marketing, Inc. (dba Alliance Reservations Network) formed the Travel Inventory Marketing Alliance in May 2002. TIMA promotes and maintains a centralized travel inventory communication hub and content database designed to facilitate the supply and distribution of travel inventory. Nevada Destinations began in 1985 as a representation and room reservation service for the gaming destinations of Las Vegas, Reno and Lake Tahoe. ND currently represents more than 300 properties, in 38 states.
