SILVER SPRING, MD— Choice Hotels International has augmented its Sleep Inn franchise sales team with the addition of three seasoned industry professionals as Choice Hotels franchise sales directors. Specifically, newly named David Aupied, Brian Bible and Thomas Sommer will now be responsible for selling Sleep Inn franchises in the southern, midwestern and western regions of the U.S. respectively. Aupied, previously employed by U.S. Franchise Systems as director of franchise sales and development, has responsibility for selling Sleep Inn franchises in Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Bible, formerly employed as a regional director of franchise sales – Best Inns & Suites (also at USFS), will now be selling Sleep Inn franchises in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Mississippi. Sommer— who worked for nine years as a director of franchise sales and development for both USFS and HFS Inc. (Cendant)— will be responsible for selling Sleep Inn franchises in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio and Tennessee. He was also previously involved in the purchase, asset-management and property-management of limited-service hotels.
