NEW YORK—Situated in Midtown Manhattan at Madison Ave. and 46th St., The Roosevelt Hotel recently completed a multimillion-dollar redesign to its more than 1,100 rooms and suites and fitness center. The property also recently announced plans to enhance its rooftop bar, mad46.
The fitness center received all new flooring and paint. In addition, the facility is now sporting new, top-of-the-line equipment including four cross-trainers, two recumbent bikes, four treadmills, an upright bike, and 19-in. Discover SE consoles and built-in TV tuners on the treadmills, bikes and elliptical machines.
The project will also elevate the overall look and feel of the rooftop lounge located on the 19th floor to add modern appeal, applying lighter colors with hints of red and orange, according to the hotel. The 19th floor entrance will be repainted and decorated with modular art wall panels, mirrored ceiling tiles, new lighting and decorative wall partitions, welcoming guests into mad46’s indoor lounges, which will receive new carpeting, paint and decorative chandeliers.
Additional upgrades will include the complete renovation and expansion of all restrooms, as well as new countertops and furniture for both the interior and exterior bar space.
“This is a very exciting time for the hotel, as we strive to provide our guests with a memorable experience, starting right when they walk through the doors into our grand lobby and all the way up to the rooftop of mad46,” said Craig Schuck, VP of operations at Interstate Hotels and Resorts, which manages the property. “We are thrilled to see the final results of the renovation.”
The outdoor space will be redesigned to offer a more open feel, according to the hotel, and features the addition of brightly colored awnings, new plants and organic decor, with additional barstools allowing for more seating in the area.
