EDMONDS, WA—The Hotel Group (THG) has promoted several long-standing employees to the executive team. In their new capacities at THG, Katherine Steed is VP of sales and marketing, Isabel Dreher is VP of human resources, and Robert Avila and Brian Latture both hold the title of regional VP, operations.
Steed since 2003 has overseen the sales, marketing and revenue management for the company’s growing portfolio. In her new role, Steed will continue to oversee the existing portfolio needs, focusing on maximizing revenue generation, as well as sales & marketing commitments for new acquisitions, according to the company. “Hospitality is a way of life and a true passion of mine,” said Steed. “In a business where retention of guests and employees can make or break you, I’m ecstatic to be with a company that does so many things so well.”
A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry who has come up through the ranks, beginning as a guest service supervisor, Dreher will continue her oversight of HR for the company and portfolio. “During the last decade, we have seen HR become one of the most vital parts of our company’s growth,” said Dreher. “I take pride in leading our associates through the ever-evolving HR climate.”
Avila, who has worked in the industry for more than 30 years, will continue to work directly with the general managers and the team members of THG’s owned properties. He will also take on the oversight of most of THG’s third-party vendors and will lead contract negotiations and service opportunities/successes. “A hotel is successful because it serves customers’ needs and creates the type of experience they desire,” stated Avilla. “At THG, we strive to deliver this every day.”
Latture will oversee all THG properties in the Pacific Northwest region, as well as THG’s Alaska portfolio. “THG has provided me opportunity for tremendous growth, and I look forward to continuing that trend by engaging and motivating our best asset—our team members,” said Latture.
