GREAT NECK, NY— The Andrew, a new Clarion Collection hotel, has opened at 75 North Station Plaza here, some 25 minutes (by train) from New York City and a block away from the Long Island Railroad. “The Andrew, a Clarion Collection, is a welcome addition to our system,” said Clarion Brand Hotels Senior Director/Brand Manager Michael Ludden. “This unique, boutique hotel has upscale room amenities and hotel features and bears all the distinctive hallmarks of the Clarion Collection line.” The 62-room Andrew is owned by Philip Pilevsky, and Swietlana Cahill is the general manager. Pilevsky also owns the Bryant Park Hotel in Manhattan and the Shore Club in Miami’s South Beach. The four-story building was constructed in the 1960s to accommodate people surrounding the World’s Fair. The entire building, including guestrooms and public areas, underwent a multi-million-dollar renovation in 2001.
