TAMPA BAY, FL— The Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, located in the revitalized downtown Channel District here will open its 32-slip marina November 21. According to Bob Stewart, director of marketing for the property, “boaters will be pleased to find exceptional ‘yacht club’ quality facilities, a safe docking experience and a golden opportunity to tie up and enjoy one of our fine restaurants or any other hotel amenity year round.” Guests may partake in a number of waterfront recreational activities including; boat rentals, sailing, kayaking, canoeing and water excursions. The new marina provides a channel that is 150 feet wide, 16 feet at the river walk edge and is 35 feet deep at the Channels deepest point. Dockage fees include water, electric, cable television, house phone, newspaper, trash collection, room service, swimming pool and use of the health club, restaurants, spa and laundromat. Adjacent to the 600,000-square-foot Tampa Convention Center, the 717-room hotel includes 36 suites; a 6,000-square-foot spa featuring a fitness facility and separate steam and sauna rooms; fully equipped business center; outdoor roof-top pool; and 50,000 square feet of meeting space.
