LAS VEGAS— Consolidated Resorts (Soleil Resorts) is building a new vacation ownership property here called Tahiti. The timeshare developer reports that construction of the new resort is due to the strong demand its noting among potential owners for its products. Tahiti will be located on a five-acre site on Tropicana Avenue about one block east from the companys existing vacation ownership resort called Club de Soleil. Tahiti will feature 93 two-bedroom lockoff units, including 21 deluxe units of about 1,400 square feet each and 72 standard units of approximately 1,200 square feet each. The company broke ground last month with a goal of completing it in March 2003.
