ATLANTA— Swissotel Atlanta will invest $2.7 million to renovate its grand ballroom and meeting space. The re-do will start July 1, 2002 with a scheduled completion of Sept. 1, 2002. The new design will reflect the hotels current contemporary look— which features rich colors, Biedermeier furnishings and reportedly the Southeasts second largest contemporary art collection— and will complement the interiors of the mezzanine and conference levels. Accommodating up to 1,200 people, the ballrooms redesign will include softer colors, new wall sconces, a more transitional carpet pattern and rectangular upholstered panels in various shades and textures that will play off each other. The hotels renovation of its meeting space and boardrooms will include the expansion of one boardroom and the addition of another boardroom, both featuring state-of-the-art digital technology.
