Super 8– Richmond Airport Changes Hands

RICHMOND, VA— The Super 8 Motel at Richmond Airport has been sold by Richmond Airport/Harrisonburg Super 8 Motels LP to SITA Corp., with the deal facilitated by The Mumford Co.’s David and Paul Mumford and Bob Spicer. The 51-room limited-service property, built in 1986, is located at Exit 197 off Interstate 64, adjacent to the Richmond International Airport. Originally offered at some $1.7 million, the property is said to be particularly well-suited for an owner/manager, given the fact current corporate management imposes additional overhead that an owner/manager could ostensibly eliminate.
