DALLAS— Despite a sluggish second quarter, Wyndham International continues the growth of its all-suite brand with the development of the 142-suite Summerfield Suites by Wyndham in Pleasant Hill, CA. Owned by Pleasant Hill Lodging Partners LP. and managed by LodgeWorks, L.P., the property is scheduled to open November 2002. Located in the center of downtown Pleasant Hill, the property will be very close to the newly constructed, 355,000-square-foot retail complex, which houses office space, shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. Additionally, the hotel site marks the last remaining undeveloped parcel within the downtown Redevelopment Area. The Summerfield Suites by Wyndham–Pleasant Hill, located just 25 miles east of San Francisco and 13 miles north of the Tri-Valley Market Area, will primarily service transient business travelers from Pleasant Hills mid-size, regional offices of financial, banking, service and telecommunications companies. The hotel will feature 58 one-bedroom, 28 two-bedroom and 56 studio suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen. Additional amenities include a common living area with television, VCR and high-speed Internet access, as well as an upgraded Sealy mattresses with luxury bedding, ergonomic Herman Miller Aeron desk chairs and complimentary Bath & Body Works amenities. Property amenities will include 2,000 square feet of meeting space divisible into three separate rooms, complimentary breakfast buffet, fitness center, video rentals, 24-hour Guest Stop convenience store with frozen foods and snack items, and complimentary grocery delivery service.
