INTERNATIONAL REPORT—Lavish accommodations are trending as hotels and resorts unveil new offerings, ranging from underwater suites in far-flung destinations to spacious villas in the U.S.
Caesars Palace Las Vegas
The Caesars Palace Las Vegas has completed the renovation of its Palace Tower, the resort’s largest tower, featuring 1,181 guestrooms and suites and a price tag topping $100 million. On the 29th floor, luxury abounds with 10 spacious villas ranging in size from 2,750 sq. ft. to 4,085 sq. ft.
Design elements include cool gray tones accented by royal blue and champagne gold. Highlights include pillow-top king and queen beds, stone bathrooms and LED flat-screen televisions.
The villas, designed by KNA Design, blend various architectural styles with an eclectic mix of furniture and decor, resulting in the appearance of a worldly collection of styles worthy of a well-traveled aristocrat, according to the company.
Atlantis Sanya
Located in China at Haitang Bay, Atlantis, Sanya Hainan will host a series of by-invitation experiential events across China’s tier-one cities—Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu—to introduce the resort’s signature suites and underwater suites ahead of the resort’s opening in the first quarter of 2018.
Five of the resorts suites are underwater, immersing guests in the underwater civilization of Atlantis. The Neptune Underwater Suite and Poseidon Underwater Suite provide views right into the heart of the Ambassador Lagoon and the 86,000 marine animals that reside inside through floor-to-ceiling glass window panels. The underwater suites are outfitted with a kitchen, premium brand sound system, luxe-branded bath amenities and a balcony.

For a touch of the outdoors, the Beverly Wilshire, A Four Seasons Hotel, offers the Veranda Suite terrace with the first urban glamping experience available in Los Angeles, according to the brand.

A complete interior redesign of all 285 guestrooms and suites at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills is underway, along with corridors and elevator lobbies. A natural color palette of beige, white and gray is juxtaposed with black accents and hints of Old Hollywood glamour.

The California hotel recently unveiled four new Bungalow Suites with heated plunge pools, fire pits and private outdoor terraces.

Complemented by natural earth-like materials, this expansive four-bedroom designer residence has a full custom Italian kitchen, library, a spacious living room and dining area, breakfast nook, balcony, media room, and expansive views of Vail Mountain and Vail Village in Colorado.
Four Seasons Resort and Residences Whistler
The mountain lodge accommodations were reimagined by using rustic materials in contemporary ways. The updated look will feature dark woods, upgraded fixtures and bright linens. The renovation is schedule for spring and fall of 2018 with completion planned for the 2018/2019 winter season.

Debuting in December is a locally inspired yet globally considered modern design narrative from Meyer Davis Studio. The new three-bedroom villa was built on a hillside with views of the Costa Rican coastline, offering a private terrace and infinity-edge plunge pool.
