Suburban Lodges Warns Shareholders In Letter

ATLANTA Suburban Lodges of America has mailed its first quarter earnings press release accompanied by a letter to its shareholders.

The letter was written by David Krischer, the company s CEO, to inform shareholders of an investor group s filing with the SEC to seek the election of two of its own hand-picked nominees to the board of directors. Furthermore, Krischer mentions in the letter that if elected, these two directors will advocate the sale of the entire company.

Krischer sums up the letter by urging shareholders to reject the group s nominees by refusing to sign or return the proxy card sent to each shareholder by the investor group. (4/26/01)
