Suburban Lodges Sees May Increases In Occupancy, RevPAR

ATLANTA— Suburban Lodges of America reported that weekly RevPAR at its owned properties advanced to $163.63 in May 2001, a 2% increase from weekly RevPAR of $160.10 during May 2000. Average occupancy increased to 81.4% in May 2001 from 81.2% in May 2000. Average weekly rates for company-owned hotels increased 2% to $201.35 in May 2001, from $197.36 in May 2000. The companys rate of growth in RevPAR exceeded that of the hotel industry for each of the first four months of 2001, according to Suburban.
