WHITE PLAINS, NY— Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide submitted its “unqualified certifications” Aug. 14 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, attesting to the accuracy of the companys filings with the SEC. The certification includes the Form 10-K for 2001; Form 10-Q for the first and second quarters of 2002; the 2002 proxy statement and other recent Form 8-K filings. Starwood also provided the certifications called for by Section 906 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 in the Form 10-Q filed with the SEC.
