NEW YORK— HOTEL BUSINESS® has learned Starwood Hotels & Resorts’ luxury brand, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, for the first time has opened regional sales offices in New York, Atlanta and Los Angeles. Sales teams will report to Dallas, TX-based Andy Anderson, St. Regis vp/sales. “This is a time of vast growth for the St. Regis brand as we move toward our goal of nearly doubling the number of hotels and resorts worldwide over the next few years,” said Atef Mankarios, president and CEO, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, in a statement. “By opening three of the first-ever regional sales offices, with plans for more already in the works, we are further demonstrating our profound commitment to the expansion of St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and to our customers.” Laura Madrid, who previously served at St. Regis Monarch Beach and Spa, Dana Point, CA, is heading the Atlanta office. Rob Roche, former regional sales manager with Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, is heading the Los Angeles office, and will be based at the St. Regis Los Angeles Hotel & Spa. Lori Lauman, former director of sales with The Peninsula Beverly Hills, is overseeing the office here . She also will serve as director of sales for the East Coast. Additional sales offices are expected to open in London and the Far East within the next few months. St. Regis Hotels & Resorts currently operates 11 hotels and resorts.— Stefani C. O’Connor
