ST. PAUL, MN— The Minnesota Office of Tourism today presented The Saint Paul Hotel with the Mobil Travel Guide Four-Star award and the AAA Four-Diamond award for excellence in hospitality and guest services. The 1910 hotel continues to be the only Minnesota property which has received both distinctions, making it the states highest rated hotel for nearly two decades. “We are honored to receive both of these awards, said Chuck Paton, general manager. “Such distinction shows the high level of service and quality that we provide. We are pleased that these reputable travel guides have perceived this, but most importantly, that our guests throughout the years have noticed and appreciated our standards. We will continue to strive to be the best hotel in Minnesota. Paton also recognized Saint Pauls Mayor Randy Kelly and other civic leaders who have helped enhance the city over the past several years making it a destination for both tourists and the business community. Also on hand were Minnesota Office of Tourism director John Edman, Saint Paul Convention and Visitors Bureau president Tom Getzke, Chamber of Commerce president Larry Dowell, and Capital City Partnership president John Labosky. “We thank all of our partners in Saint Paul who have helped to make this city such a wonderful destination for visitors, said Paton. “Our guests appreciate the ambiance and energy of Saint Paul and we count on all these groups to continue to make Saint Paul an attractive place to visit or do business.
