ST. LOUIS, MO— Raymond Management Co. plans to convert an existing Ramada Inn on West Washington Ave. here to the Hampton Inn brand. Renovations to the property, which will take on the new name of Hampton Inn At The Arch, are expected to be completed for an opening in early 2003. Located across the street from the city’s Gateway Arch, and within a block of the Edward Jones Dome, America’s Center Convention Center, and Laclede’s Landing, the property also finds Busch Stadium and Union Station just a few blocks away. During the $15-million dollar renovation, the 190-room property will undergo substantial modifications to meet Hilton Hotels standards for the Hampton Inn system. Ultimately, the new Hampton Inn will boast enlarged and fully renovated guestrooms. Additionally, the property will feature a full-service restaurant and bar, multiple meeting and banquet rooms (including a private executive boardroom), lobby convenience shop, and four levels of parking. An indoor pool, whirlpool, game room, and fitness center area on the hotel’s fifth floor are also in the mix.
