GRENADA— In keeping with its high service standards, Spice Island Beach Resort in Grenada has appointed four new executives at the luxury 66-room property. Brian Hardy has been promoted from assistant manager of Spice Island Beach Resort (a position he held for two years) to resort manager. Hardy will oversee the day-to-day operations of the property and manage a staff of 125 people. Before joining the team at Spice, Hardy was executive assistant manager at Windjammer Landing Villa Beach Resort in St. Lucia. Filling Hardy’s previous post, Sheldon Keens-Douglas has been named assistant manager at the resort. Prior to Spice, Keens-Douglas was the assistant manager at the Four Seasons Nevis for the last three years. Spice Island Beach Resort has enhanced its food and beverage department with the appointment of Michael Carroll as the new executive chef who will be in charge of the property’s menus, cooking style, and flavors. Carroll’s 23-year career includes past cooking positions at Fortes, De Veres, Paul Bocuse, Private Clubs and Swallows Hotels. In addition, Helen Bhola who has been promoted from food & beverage supervisor, a title she held for eight years, to administrative assistant.
