LOS ANGELES— In order to better reflect its dominant hotel presence here, the Southern California Business Association has been renamed the Los Angeles Area Hotel & Lodging Association. Headquartered in downtown Los Angeles, the association will offer services to the more than 1,400 hotel and lodging establishments in Los Angeles County. Scott Blech is the president replacing Les Benson, who recently retired. Blech, who has more than 20 years of hospitality experience to his credit, also is chair of the California Society of Association Executives.
