MIAMI BEACH, FL— The newly opened Palms South Beach hotel has teamed up with the South Florida botanic garden, Fairchild Tropical Garden, in a cooperative marketing agreement to help cross-promote the two entities. As part of the agreement, Fairchild Tropical Garden will operate an on-site gift shop, The Palm Collection by Fairchild Tropical Garden, marking Fairchild’s first off-site retail location. Additional areas of collaboration include a special room rate and food and beverage discounts at the hotel for Fairchilds 14,000 members. During the evening turndown service, informational “Palm Facts” supplied by Fairchild will be placed on guests pillows. The two entities will also cross-promote each other on their prospective websites. Fairchild will also promote the Palms in its prize- winning magazine, while the Palms will include Fairchild in its advertising. Information about Fairchild will be located in hotel guestrooms and at the concierge desk. Meanwhile, educational and outreach programs offered by Fairchild will be hosted at The Palms. Formerly the Miami Beach Ocean Resort, The 242-room, boutique-style Palms South Beach re-opened on November 1 following a multi-million dollar design-oriented restoration.
