NEWTON, MA—The Sonesta Collection has launched Sonesta ES Suites, an extended-stay brand, as well as refreshed hotels and resorts in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Hilton Head Island, Houston and Philadelphia. Currently on the docket, New Orleans will be completed in 2015.

More than $250 million was invested in upgrades and redesigns, which aim to deliver a reimagined guest experience. Features include oversized accommodations, adaptable work areas and common spaces.

Each full-service property is inspired by aspects of the locale, from the design to food and beverage. Houston’s history of space exploration subtly influences the property there, while Atlanta, Philadelphia and Boston reflect those cities’ art culture with galleries and events in the hotels. Guests can get a taste of New Orleans, from cuisine to music, without leaving the hotel with amenities such as Irvin Mayfield’s Jazz Playhouse.

“At Sonesta, we embrace a sense of place in each of our hotels. From locally-inspired décor and seasonally-sourced ingredients, to employees who embody our culture of caring with support of the local community, we’re proud to provide our guests with more than just a place to stay,” said Carlos Flores, president & ceo of Sonesta International Hotels Corporation.
