WASHINGTON, D.C.— Special “spy” packages will mark the opening of the new luxury Sofitel Lafayette Square and the International Spy Museum here in June. Both facilities occupy historic buildings that have been restored in the heart of the city. The Sofitel Lafayette Square is offering the “Spy Who Loves Me” and the “You Spy Too” packages from July 22 to Sept. 7, subject to availability. Guests of the hotel will also be able to view a selection of classic French spy movies through in-room television programming throughout the summer. “The Spy Who Loves Me” package includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room and a fixed price, three-course dinner for two in Café 15, the Sofitel Lafayette Squares 60-seat restaurant. The package also includes continental breakfast the following morning through room service, two tickets to the new International Spy Museum and a special “spy amenity” gift as a keepsake of the visit. Price of this package is $350 per couple, tax and gratuity not included. Additional nights can be added to this package beginning at $150 per night double occupancy, including continental breakfast and based upon availability. The “You Spy Too” package offers a combination of educational opportunities to meet some of Washingtons notable experts on spying and terrorist activities; luxury accommodations and gourmet dining; plus a visit to the International Spy Museum and a meeting with the museums executive director. The package features an evening at Zola, an elegant new restaurant, and dinner with author Ronald Kessler who has written extensively on the FBI and CIA. The all-inclusive “You Spy Too” package is $3,000 per couple and includes two nights in a suite at the Sofitel Lafayette Square, two breakfasts and two dinners. Sofitel is a brand of Accor hotels. There are currently 150 Sofitel properties around the globe with 10 more properties slated to open this year.
