DALLAS— Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) has appointed Francis Brennan, owner of Irelands Park Hotel Kenmare, as chairman of the International Board of Small Luxury Hotels of the World 2001- 2003. Brennan succeeds John Cope, the president and managing director of The Huntington Hotel in San Francisco, who completed his two-year term. The 284-member luxury hotel consortium also elected two new board members: Julia Schroeder, hotel manager of the Bellevue Club Hotel in Seattle; and Friedrich Gross, owner of the Chateau Grand Barrail in St. Emilion, France. The chairman and the board members are responsible for the management and development of SLH.
