QING CHENG MOUNTAIN, CHINA—Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain will have its preview on Aug. 1.
According to the company, Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain has been created to complement the UNESCO World Heritage & Natural Cultural site at nearby Dujiangyan. It was in this region known as the homeland of the Giant Pandas that the legendary Silk Road began. The resort, which is situated to the west of the Sichuan Basin, is just over an hour’s drive from the regional capital of Chengdu.
The 113 guest accommodations at Six Senses Qing Cheng Mountain range from semi-detached suites in duplex villas with balconies and verandas, to courtyard suites, garden and pool villas. Two-and four-bedroom villas offer an indoor courtyard, whirlpool or pool, natural wood interiors and outdoor settings. Complimentary WiFi is offered along with a smartphone app that will soon be available to all guests so they can control air conditioning, television programming and lighting.
Farm2Fork is an informal all-day dining restaurant with a fresh-from-the-garden approach, serving Western and regional dishes as well as semi-buffets. For signature Chinese dining, 28Zodiac serves Sichuan specialties complemented with a selection of Cantonese, Jiangsu and Shandong choices. Sala Thai celebrates the cuisine of Thailand under the direction of a resident Thai chef, Sarunya Jampadee. Other F&B options include the Moon Bar, and, within it, the Chinese Tea Lounge. And the nearby Wok Mee Shack serves small bites of all kinds of traditional Sichuan snacks. Farm2Straw Smoothie Bar creates smoothies mixed with seasonal fruit and herbs, and C+T Shack showcases a tea gallery and coffee selections, all with an alfresco setting.
A Meeting Cluster is available for small meetings and events.
The 18,400-sq.-ft. Six Senses Spa offers waterfall and garden views from the 10 treatment rooms. The menu ranges from multi-day wellness programs to rejuvenation therapies and a selection of activities such as yoga and tai chi.
