ATLANTA— Six Continents has named Jerome Miller vice president/diversity for the Americas. Miller joined the then Bass Hotels & Resorts in 1999 as senior human resource business partner to develop strategies for the chain. He previous served in a similar capacity for 12 years with the Coca-Cola Co., spending three years in South Africa developing and implementing human resources programs for the bottler’s southern Africa division. According to John Sweetwood, president of the Americas for Six Continents, Miller’s appointment signals the global chain’s commitment “to drive diversity across our business,” and expressed confidence he would take Six Continents’ diversity efforts “to the next level.”
