ATLANTA— Six Continents Hotels has entered into a strategic marketing alliance with NetBank, an independent Internet bank, that will promote NetBank checking accounts to more than 10 million U.S. members of Priority Club, the chain’s frequent guest program. Members will receive a bonus of up to 10,000 Priority Club points when they open and fund a new NetBank account. “Priority Club members count on us to offer them special promotions on value-added services, said Steve Sickel, Six Continents’ vp/relationship marketing. “We work only with best-in-class providers that maintain the same high standard of customer service that our business is founded on. NetBank is well known for leveraging technology to provide customers greater value and convenience on a comprehensive array of financial services. Members will be able to apply for a NetBank account through a special link on the Priority Club Web site (www.priorityclub.com) beginning in mid-February. Forty Priority Club points will be awarded for each $1 on deposit in the account after 30 days, up to a maximum of 10,000 points per member. The bank requires a minimum deposit of $50 to open a checking account, and members must apply through the special link to earn points. “This agreement gives us access to a large, highly desirable consumer base, said Michael Fitzgerald, NetBank president. “We have always focused on offering our customers greater convenience in how they manage their personal finances.
