ATLANTA— Six Continents Hotels announced the opening of a dual-branded resort complex in the Bahamas. The Royal Oasis Golf Resort & Casino on Grand Bahama Island joins together the 400-room Crowne Plaza hotel and the 565-room Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort. The property is owned and managed by Driftwood Hospitality Management, under a license agreement with an affiliate of Six Continents Hotels. Following a $42 million renovation, the complex offers upscale resort accommodations with Crowne Plaza and “family-friendly” lodging with Holiday Inn SunSpree Resort. The dual-branded resort also features shared facilities that include two 18-hole USGA-rated championship golf courses, a 28,000-square-foot casino, and two heated free-form pools with hot tubs. Additionally, there are nine tennis courts, a fitness center, European-style spa, Fat Katz Beach Club, childrens activity center and a one-million gallon beach pool with two waterslides. Other shared facilities at the resort include a business center, live entertainment, shops, hair salon, gift shops, tour desks and more than 40,000 square feet of meeting space. The resort also features nine restaurants and bars.
