STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, CO—Fresh off the completion of a $16-million renovation project, Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas has unveiled an additional $8 million has been invested in renovating and refurbishing the property’s 21 villas, which are part of Starwood Vacation Ownership. The two- and three- bedroom villas have been updated to match the look and feel of the resort’s 56 new Mountain Suites, which debuted in December 2013.
In June 2014, Sheraton Steamboat Resort & Villas completed the first $16 million in property renovations and upgrades. Adding to the winter debut of 56 new Mountain Suites, the resort’s fitness center was expanded and the mountainside pool redesigned, complete with dual-sided stone fireplaces, an in-pool hot tub and cabanas.
The additional $8-million villas renovation brought updated soft goods, furnishings and accents, emphasizing a Colorado Mountain contemporary style highlighted by natural stone gas fireplaces, according to the company. The full, modern kitchens with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops flow into sitting areas with custom furniture. Natural wood accent tables and distinctive artwork including log slices and photography collages were designed to complement the surrounding mountains. New bedding, curtains and lighting were also added.
