ROCKVILLE, MD— The Sheraton Rockville opened its doors on Nov. 10. The new 154-room hotel is owned and managed by Innkeepers Hospitality Management. Located in the historic King Farm community of Rockville, the property will launch signature elements of the Sheraton brand’s “Warm Welcome” program, which provides guests personal services and amenities in a boutique-sized setting. The five-story hotel has a fitness center, an indoor pool and whirlpool, a wired business center and King Farm Grill, a bar and bistro. Guestrooms feature the Sheraton Sweet Sleeper Bed, high-speed Internet access and a 32-inch flat-screen LCD HDTV. On the top floor, Sheraton’s Club Lounge provides guests with a place to enjoy a complimentary breakfast, wi-fi and relaxation with drinks and appetizers. As part of the Sheraton brand’s positioning of “warm, comforting connections,” the Sheraton Rockville offers guests pre-paid postcards at check-in. Each new arrival to the hotel will also be personally greeted and escorted to their rooms by a Sheraton Rockville Ambassador. “At the heart of the Sheraton Rockville’s ‘Warm Welcome’ program is its engaging and intuitive staff and signature services, promising guests a sense of belonging while they’re away from home,” said Chad Waetzig, senior vp of marketing, Sheraton Hotels. Sheraton’s new signature lobby scent, “Welcoming Warmth,” will also provide guests with a memorable arrival, according to Waetzig. The scent includes notes of fig, fergamot, jasmine and freesia and was developed exclusively for Sheraton to help guests relax. It was created by MANE, a fragrance design house.
