NEW YORK—For today only, The Sheraton New York Times Square hosted the New York Rangers’ 55-foot long “RangersTown” sign in celebration of the kick-off of the 2014-2015 NHL Season.
Rangers alumni Brian Mullen was on-hand greeting fans, taking photos and signing autographs in the hotel’s lobby, for the unveiling. The massive sign was displayed on the hotel’s roof, serving as one of the stops along the team’s “Welcome to RangersTown” marketing campaign. The sign will continue to move around New York City throughout the remainder of the season. Each letter in the sign is 6-ft. high, 13-in. deep and weighs about 100 pounds.
