NIAGARA FALLS, NY— Malaysian billionaire Lim Kok Thay has lent $80 million to the Seneca Nation of Indians development company to build its purposed casino in downtown Niagara Falls. While the federal government still must provide its stamp of approval, the loan from Lims family investment company has fanned the ongoing fire to turn the US side of Niagara Falls into a gambler’s paradise. By the numbers, the loan provided is a five-year paper with an adjustable-rate sum that carries a 29% interest rate.
