NEW YORK—San Francisco-based Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants, has appointed Sean Flanigan as general manager of The Muse New York.
Flanigan brings more than nine years of experience to The Muse. A member of the Kimpton family since 2005, Flanigan has helped to open several hotels in major U.S. cities including Ink48 (New York), The Palomar Philadelphia, EPIC (Miami), and Hotel Monaco Philadelphia. He plans to continue to elevate The Muse’s creative programming and innovative guest amenities.

Flanigan began his tenure with Kimpton as a front desk agent at Onyx Hotel in Boston. In 2010, he was named hotel manager for Hotel Palomar Philadelphia, and later in his career, he was appointed opening hotel manager for Hotel Monaco Philadelphia. Flanigan most recently was general manager of Surfcomber Hotel & Resort, a beachfront property located on the South Beach, where he was awarded the GM Rookie of the Year Award for 2013.
