BOSTON— Following a national search to fill the position, Jose Estrompa, VP/Saunders Hotel Group and general manager of The Lenox Hotel and The Copley Square Hotel, has named Susan Cullen director of sales and marketing. Cullen, with more than 20 years’ experience as a sales and marketing executive, will have responsibility for both of SHG’s Back Bay properties, and will include overseeing sales and marketing strategies, developing and administering yearly marketing plans, and directing internal and external human resources to achieve sales and revenue goals. “We are delighted to welcome Susan Cullen to the Saunders Hotel Group and our hotels,” said Estrompa. “Susan’s considerable experience and track record of success as a sales and marketing professional makes her a ‘natural’ for this position, and we are pleased to welcome her dynamic presence to our businesses.” Cullen has held management positions at several hotels in the Boston area, including The Colonnade Hotel, where she served as senior sales manager; and the Tremont House Hotel, where she was corporate sales manager. Most recently, she served as director of sales and marketing at the Sheraton Ferncroft Resort, Danvers. Cullen also is a member of Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International and Meeting Planners International.
