DUCK, NC— The Educational Institute of the American Hotel and Lodging Association (EI) has honored Jeff Metcalf, The Sanderlings assistant general manager/ director of food and beverage, with the designation of certified Food and Beverage Executive. The 88-room Sanderling is a 12-acre oceanfront property, which this spring will be opening its newest restaurant, The Left Bank. The 60-seat fine dining restaurant will serve French-inspired American cuisine. Since 2000, 198 people have completed EIs six-month food and beverage certification program.
