PISMO BEACH, CA— The Sandcastle Inn, adjacent the Pismo Pier here at 100 Stimson Ave., has completed a $1 million renovation of its 60 original guestrooms (of 75 total rooms), public spaces and exteriors according to Dale Marquis, chairman of Pacifica Hotel Co., the propertys owner. Los Angeles-based Intra-Spec Hospitality Design, Inc. completed the project. “Our renovation of the Sandcastle Inn reflects our deep commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience; especially here on the Central Coast,” Marquis said. Accommodations feature new furniture of whitewashed wood with honey tones; new carpet, drapes and blue & white striped wall coverings. New beds and bed coverings feature bolster pillows, shams and reversible duvets. Bathrooms received new wall coverings, paint and shower curtains. The Inns exterior has been freshly whitewashed; and navy trim and new navy awnings added. Public areas including the lobby and corridors have new wallcoverings and lighting sconces resembling sailboats. The breakfast area also has been enlarged and refurbished. According to general manager Tom Bourke, “We are thrilled to be able to offer our loyal guests and new visitors this beautiful facility on the beach.” Pacifica Hotel Co., a privately held diversified real estate investment and management firm, also operates the Cottage Inn by the Sea and Spyglass Inn in Pismo Beach; the Holiday Inn Express in San Luis Obispo, three hotels in Cambria and three properties in greater Santa Barbara, where it is headquartered.
