San Francisco Workers Walk Off Job At Four Hotels

SAN FRANCISCO— Union workers at four hotels here walked off the job after UNITE HERE, the union representing hotel and textile workers, said negotiations yielded little progress toward a new contract. The four impacted hotels are the Argent Hotel, Crowne Plaza Union Square, Hilton San Francisco, and InterContinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco. In addition, negotiations over anew contract forWashington D.C. hotel workers broke off yesterday as the union and members of 14 major hotels reported little progress in resolving the impasse. Workers for Los Angeles area hotels have also seen little progress in contract negotiations with area hotels.
