DENVER— Sage Hospitality Resources has been tapped to operate three full-service hotels located in Tempe, AZ; Pueblo, CO; and Ogden, UT. In Tempe, Sage will manage the 210-room Sheraton Phoenix Airport Hotel, which was recently acquired by JER Partners. The hotel features more than 10,000 square feet of function space, a business and fitness center, an outdoor swimming pool and a full-service restaurant. JER plans to renovate the hotel’s guestrooms, lobby and conference facilities. Sage is also now managing the Pueblo Marriott located on the Riverwalk in historic downtown Pueblo. The 164-room hotel is connected to the Pueblo Convention Center and offers more than 21,000 square feet of event and meeting space. It also has a heated indoor pool, whirlpool, health club and restaurant. In Ogden, Sage has added the 292-room Ogden Marriott to its portfolio. Reportedly the only full-service hotel in northern Utah, the property has more than 16,000 square feet of function space. The new management contracts follow Sage’s recently announced formation of a joint venture partnership with JP Morgan for the $72-million purchase of the JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek from CDS Hotel Investors, LLC. The hotel has 196 guestrooms and suites, more than 5,500 square feet of meeting space and a 9,000-square-foot spa. Sage has managed the property since June 2005. With the addition of these properties to its portfolio, Sage now owns and/or operates 47 hotels in 21 states.
