BOSTON After years of negotiations, officials gave the green light for the development of the South Boston Waterfront, which will include a 1,000-room Hyatt Regency hotel. The deal allows for just under 3 million square feet of development, while alleviating some concerns over height, wind, and shadow. In all the project will consist of four buildings. According to Mayor Thomas Menino, the project will create a 21st Century city. (12/7/00)
