NEW YORK HOTEL BUSINESS. has learned that Rosewood Hotels & Resorts is building a new 220-room hotel on Market Street in San Francisco. Jim Brown, president of Rosewood, said that the project, yet another addition to the city s South of Market district, is already under development but has not yet broken ground.

In addition, Brown told HOTEL BUSINESS. that Rosewood Hotels plans to expand its European portfolio with the development of three new hotels: one in Dublin, one in Athens, and another in Olympia, Greece. The new 140-room Dublin hotel will be newly constructed next to an existing castle, and will feature 15 suite accommodations. The Irish property will sit on approximately 1,200 acres of land, and will feature an 18-hole golf course, and equestrian sports. (4/25/01) Diana M. Rodriguez
