ATLANTA It was previously announced that the five-star, Ritz-Carlton chain was considering adding a 200-room hotel/condominium in midtown Atlanta, which would mark its third property in the city. However, HOTELBUSINESS. has learned that the brand is not in serious discussions for a new Atlanta property, and have not signed any letters of intent.
A spokesperson from Ritz-Carlton said that any talk about another Atlanta project is very premature, and the brand is not in the preliminary stages of starting a new development there.
Ritz-Carlton already operates a 553-room hotel downtown Atlanta and a 441-room hotel in the upscale Buckhead district. Diana M. Rodriguez (8/25/00)
