CAMBRIDGE, MA—The Residence Inn Boston Cambridge completed the final phase of its renovation, which included a refresh of its 221 suites.
According to the company, the suites are 50% larger than traditional hotels in the area and feature new furnishings, color schemes, carpeting, draperies and bathrooms. Amenities in the renovated suites include coffeemakers, irons and ironing boards, pullout sofa beds, chairs with ottomans and 37-in., flat-screen TVs with premium movie channels. All suites also offer complimentary in-room wireless Internet and separate work spaces with large desks, ergonomic chairs, desk-level electrical outlets and two-line phones with speaker and voice mail capabilities.
Each also features refreshed kitchens in all of its suites consisting of a cooktop stove, dishwasher, microwave, pots, pans, serving dishes, refrigerator, silverware, toaster and coffeemaker. A dining nook also is offered.
The public spaces of the hotel, including the lobby and business center, were remodeled in late 2013.
To that end, other hotel amenities include three meeting rooms with 2,208 sq. ft. of flexible space; a lobby with new seating, an LG Smart TV, and granite countertops and induction warmers; and a 24-hour business center with computers and a printer.
