NEW YORK— According to the New York Post, two public relations executives from Dan Klores Communications, the PR firm that represents the St. Regis hotel, were fired in the wake of the report that Mayor Giuliani and girlfriend Judith Nathan shared a love nest at the famous property. Officials from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, which owns the St. Regis, also are investigating a hotel manager and a Starwood senior marketing official for their roles in publicizing the mayor’s patronage, the paper reported. Sources said the Dan Klores staffers, Michele Paolella and Jean Gordon, met last week with executives from the hotel and Starwood. The St. Regis official thought it would be a good idea for the public to know the hotel was “the mayor’s home away from home,” and wanted to plant a publicity item about the Giuliani-Nathan visits. The Starwood marketing official advised against planting the item, saying every guest deserves complete privacy, the sources said. But she was eventually persuaded to sign off on the proposal, in order to drum up business at the hotel, the paper reported. SOURCE: New York Post
