PARIS, FRANCE— Major renovations encompassing significantly more than “spring cleaning” have been completed at a pair of Inter-Continental properties here— The Hotel Inter-Continental Paris as well as Le Grand Hotel Inter-Continental Paris. At the 438-unit Hotel Inter-Continental Paris, a multi-phase upgrading of the nearly 125-year-old property concentrated on the facility’s guestrooms, public spaces and back-of-the-house operations. Club Inter-Continental floors as well as an accompanying lounge were also put into play at the hotel. Meanwhile, renovations to the tune of almost US$1 million have closed Le Grand Hotel Inter-Continental Paris. When that 140-year-old property re-opens in April of 2003, it will feature 480 rooms and luxury suites, two restaurants, new conference and meeting facilities, a Club Inter-Continental floor, and assorted high-tech facilities and amenities.—Michael Billig
