NATIONAL REPORT—Two waterfront properties and a historic Vegas casino have new looks.
Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach Resorts
Known as a “resort-within-a-resort,” the boutique Casa Palmero at Pebble Beach Resorts in California recently completed a refresh to its 24 guest accommodations, part of a resort-wide enhancement initiative timed to usher in Pebble Beach Resorts’ 2019 centennial celebration.
Design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA) oversaw the project. “The interior design for Casa Palmero is built on the existing palette—earth tones complemented by rich Mediterranean colors,” said HBA Senior Designer Jacob Royster.
Reflecting on the soft goods enhancements, he added, “Fabrics are plush and tailored with intricate stitching and patterns that are refreshed versions of traditional scroll and fretwork patterns.”
Other improvements include new 55-in. HD TVs, which complement Casa Palmero’s original amenities such as oversized soaking tubs and outdoor patios with private hot tubs, which are offered in several rooms.
DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront
DoubleTree by Hilton Ocean City Oceanfront opened its doors after a renovation and re-branding.
The multimillion-dollar renovation included fully updated guestrooms, a complete makeover of the lobby, new furniture throughout the hotel, eco-friendly and technological enhancements and new dining options.
The hotel offers a variety of meetings and event space, ranging from newly renovated indoor and outdoor venues, including a 5,300-sq.-ft. five-bedroom penthouse with 4,800 sq. ft. of outdoor space, a 3,400-sq.-ft. four-bedroom penthouse, a 400-sq.-ft. boardroom and the Marlin Moon Restaurant and Bar.
The property is owned and managed by Harrison Group Hotels.
El Cortez Hotel & Casino
El Cortez Hotel & Casino in downtown Las Vegas, has begun renovating 73 of its Tower Rooms to debut in late summer.
The refreshed rooms plan to offer a warm, modern design blended with a bit of whimsy while incorporating a splash of Spanish Colonial style. Highlights of the redesigned rooms include black-and-white floor tiles, traditional style rugs, carved wood details and modern accent furniture.
Stepping into the hallway, guests will be greeted with a full-size monochromatic mural of the vintage downtown Las Vegas skyline with a pop art graphic layered atop.
