Renaissance Portsmouth Honored By Crestline

PORTSMOUTH, VA— Crestline Hotels & Resorts recently presented the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center with the Meeting Planner Survey Achievement Award. The hotel was selected as the recipient out of 29 properties managed by Crestline in recognition of its top scores for satisfaction in meetings and conferences based on a survey given to meeting planners by the Renaissance Hotels & Resorts corporate office. In addition to identifying how how a hotel assists meeting planners, the survey critiques the overall experience of guests. “This is a remarkable achievement for a first-year hotel,” said Larry Bundy, general manager, in commenting on the award. “So far the property has exceeded our expectations on all levels, which is exceptional for such a relatively new property,” noted Dave Durbin, COO of Crestline Hotels & Resorts. Located along the historic riverfront of Olde Towne in Portsmouth, the $48 million Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel and Waterfront Conference Center had 249 rooms and suites; 24,000 square feet of meeting and function space; an International Association of Conference Center (IACC)-certified executive learning center and case study amphitheater; restaurant and lounge; business center; indoor pool with sun deck; health club; gift shop; and a 458-space parking garage.
