LAS VEGAS— Resort Condominiums International (RCI) is looking to identify well-known “leisure brands” with which the public is familiar— like for example, Ralph Lauren— and create a resort timeshare product around it, according to Kenneth May, president/CEO, RCI. May told HOTEL BUSINESS® at the 2002 International Resort Development Convention & Exposition here that bringing more brands into the RCI fold will be a focus going forward in order to create more opportunities to travel for members and to add value to well-known brands. “While we service other brands and our own brands, I believe we should be bringing in other brands, as well,” he said. While he declined to comment on what brands RCI is eyeing currently, May indicated that there are talks underway with several brands.
