PARSIPPANY, NJ — Resort Condominiums International, LLC (RCI) appointed F. Peter Giamalva as president, RCI Leisure Rental Division. In his new role, Giamalva will be overseeing all staff and operations for the division, a new unit of RCI that is responsible for marketing and managing the rental of vacation accommodations to the traveling public. Formed in November of 2001, the RCI Leisure Rental Division is building new global channels enabling consumers to access a wider variety of high-quality vacation accommodations at affordable prices. A 20-year travel industry professional, Giamalvas background includes an eight-year stint at Budget Rent a Car Corporation, where he led both international and travel industry marketing. While living in London, he was the managing director of Budgets operations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to Budget, Giamalva spent 12 years in the tour operator package vacation business, where he helped establish and grow Thomson Vacations, now Apple Vacations.
