PALM BEACH, ARUBA— Radisson Hotels & Resorts is creating its own branded spa facilities under the Larimar name. With the first Larimar Spa officially opening next month at the 353-room Radisson Resort & Casino in Aruba, plans have been announced for a Larimar to be included in the upcoming Radisson on St. Martin. The St. Martin property, formerly the Le Meridien, is presently closed for a major renovation. With destination spas proving to be a significant demand generator, other hotel companies, including Marriott International and Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, have also launched branded spas. Larimar is named for a stone native to the Dominican Republic and popular through the Caribbean that is thought to have healingl properties.
